J.Crew for Fall

Hey Lovelies!
It's hot and rainy here in Louisiana and somedays its just downright miserable. Saturday me and the boyfriend went to the mall to escape the heat. After torturing ourselves at the pet store we made our way to J.Crew. J.Crew already has some of their fall items out which got me so excited for fall. While i'm loving snowballs and pool time I'm so ready to pull my boots out! Now I know here in louisiana thats at least 3 months away if i'm lucky but a girl can only dream and put together some super cute outfits on her blog. Right? So let the dreaming begin!

Pair this super girly sweater with a stripped button down for a preppy look. Throw it on with your favorite pair of jeans and flats for a casual look. If you want to wear it to work then pair it with a pencil skirt!

I love everything about this look! I probably wouldn't be so brave to wear a leopard belt with it but I know someone out there has the confidence to rock it. I have just made it my mission to find this is a more budget friendly option.STAY TUNED!

High Five For Friday

HAPPY FRIDAY! Friday's are my favorite because I get to spend the weekend with my boyfriend BUT this week was special because I got to spend most of the week here.

Having this guy around to scare sketchy strangers. Little do they know he is harmless.

Having my boyfriend lean over and tell me that he can't waits until we are like them.

4th of July! A day off from work and an excuse to come into town several days early!

Setting A Clothing Budget

Hello Lovely Readers!

As a college student and a part-time worker having a budget is extremely important to me. One of the wonderful things about my job is that I have a set schedule so I can depend on getting the same amount of hours each week. When planning a clothing budget work with something you are comfortable with. Some weeks I totally rule out having a clothing budget because it just doesn't seem smart. Paying bill is at the top of my to do list when I first get my check. I like to get that money out of my account before I get too excited about having it. Then from there I figure out food, gas and other miscellaneous items that are on my NEED list. Yes, I know for some of you this is the obvious responsible thing to do but there have been times when i've thrown all responsibility out the window and bought that cute dress! Once I have figured out if having a clothing budget is possible I then think of my closet and items that I would like to add to it. Then I  turn to online shopping. For me online shopping takes some of the impulse buying out of me. I get to look at the items a few times before I even hit the store and decide if I truly love it and mentally work it into my closet. A rule for me is if I can't come up with 3 different ways to wear it or occasions I could wear it then I don't need it.  How do you figure out your clothing budget?

Spring Wish List Part 1

Hey lovelies!

Here are a few things I am crushing on for spring. Since everyone is just starting to roll out with their spring items, i'm sure my list will continue to grow.

I love colors! This shirt is so girlie and fun. It can be perfect for work, date night or a girls night out.

Something with lace! I love lace and so does boyfriend so its a win win. It can be romantic or you can spice it up with some leather.

Maxi Dress

Maxi dresses are my favorite. You can be comfy and still look nice at the same time. I love this one but I don't like the sheerness of it so it has now become my mission to find one similar! 

Hi-Low Skirt

This skirt. I have a feeling I will be picking this up on my way home tonight. I was first unsure about the hi-low trend but I have embraced it due to cute skirts like this! Oh yeah, its from TARGET!!

Jason Wu for Target

Hey Lovelies!

I'm taking a much needed break from fighting with blogger. So Sunday me and boyfriend went out to Target to check out Jason Wu. After the Missoni madness (that I did not attend) I was a little nervous about checking things out. We arrived at Target around 11 and like I expected everything in my size was not on the rack and the clothes section was pretty dead. THEN I seen the rack with all the returns from the dressing room! It was like striking gold (or so I thought). I ended up picking out these: 

Then I got to the register proud of my findings. The cashier rang up these two items and a pot holder and my total came out to $80. I immediately had shoppers guilt. Luckily this Target is in a "mall" and boyfriend decided to walk around. As we walked I tried to ration why I spend so much on TWO items from TARGET. I couldn't do it. Then a I remembered my "Spring Wishlist" and none of these items even came close to making it. So I turned to my non-judging bf and we went back to target for me to return my items. While Jason Wu has some adorable items at Target I am happy I made the returns. Stay tuned for my Spring Wishlist later this week and hopefully my fight with blogger will be over. When I first mentioned getting something leopard this fall my boyfriend immediately thought of hookers and snooki. So he vetoed it. I know what you thinking controlling jerk. That is 100% not it. He just doesn't get some things. He loves my style and says he one day hopes if we have a girl she dresses just like me. He just thinks that leopard can't be worn in a classy way. He grew up an nola and I guess has seen 1 too many prostitutes in leopard. While I don't think I could pull off the few cute leopard shirts I have seen, I do think I could go for a cute leopard scarf or leopard shoes. I would totally wear the flats with black skinnies and a black shirt. So I'm thinking of sneaking the shoes to one of my weekend outfits. After all he only sees what I wear on the weekends (2hr long distance relationship) so if he still hates the idea of leopard I can prance around them on the weekdays. HA! Do any of you have something that your significant other dislikes?

Hey lovelies! I used to think wearing black and brown together was taboo. Now, I don't know what it is about it but I love it! Maybe its the fact that I spent more than $50 on boots there and I want to get the most out of them. When I wore black and brown together for the first time I felt like such a rebel. (oh yeah, i'm a nerd.) But I digress! As you can tell from these pictures pint rest in my new bff.
